BONNIE LEE was drawn to Edisto Island, SC by its peace, tranquility and ever-changing colors - a wealth of subject matter. A Baby Boomer from Ohio, Bonnie Lee has made the island her home since 1985. Retiring in 2002 from a career as a successful businesswoman and entrepreneur, Bonnie has turned her attentions back to becoming the full time artist she always planned on being. Devoting the same fire and passion that she put forward in the business world to her true loves - drawing, painting and color, she has become an award winning artist. Over the years, Bonnie has had the opportunity to study with Jean and Paul Ulen, Milford Zornes, Colleen Newport Stephens, Harvey Begay, Tony Couch, Alice Grimsley and in sculpture, Veryl Goodnight. She has attending workshops in Canyon de Chelly, Az., Charleston, SC, Taos, New Mexico, Sand Canyon, Cortez, Co., Penland School of Craft, NC and the Art School of the Aegean. As she travels, she has produced watercolor journals of Ireland, England, South America, Greece, The Caribbean, The American Southwest, France and most recently Central America. |
